Almost two decades ago, the warriors sparred, with the Australian reminiscing over the experience.
He told Bloody Knockout: “To be honest, I was in awe back then. When you’re an adult, you don’t really get in awe, but when you’re a teenager, you do. He was the first celebrity, hero and boxer that I met.”
Mosley replied: “There are a lot of people who are in awe of me. I’ve sparred a lot of people. Maybe he thinks I’m a little older and I’ve lost my step, and maybe he can capitalize.
“I’m not sure what he’s thinking, but my mind is sharp and I’m going to be the best I can be at this time in my life. I’m excited to be in the ring.”
When asked to give a prediction, the American confirmed that he’s going for the stoppage, claiming: “I expect to finish anybody who’s in the ring with me, whether it’s Matty, Manny Pacquiao or Floyd Mayweather, that’s what I do.”
