Ryan Garcia will return to the ring against Rolly Romero in a boxing event with a twist in May.
Ryan Garcia will return to the ring after what will be one year since his win over Devin Haney, which was later ruled a no-contest.
Garcia’s record sits at 24-1, whilst Haney’s remains unblemished at 31-0, though for many fans the record will always have an asterisk beside it.
Garcia and Haney will both return in May in Times Square, with Garcia facing Romero and Haney facing Jose Ramirez in an invite-only event.

Ryan Garcia drops Adin Ross and N3on ahead of fight on Devin Haney card
In some resurfaced footage from a year ago, Garcia fought streamers Adin Ross and N3on in a two-versus-one spar.
Ross boats 7.2 million followers on Twitch and 4.5 million on YouTube, whilst N3on holds near-900k YouTube subscribers.
The footage shows the pair swinging at Garcia, who sends Ross to the canvas with a left hook to the body, before moving towards N3on who gets on the canvas himself unprompted.
The pair try again, but Garcia, who claims Oscar Duarte was his toughest foe, sends them both to the canvas again.
Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney have fought seven times and look set for an eighth
Garcia’s fight with Haney, who was dissed by Bhad Bhabie, in 2024 was not the first time the pair have fought, and it doesn’t seem like it’ll be the last either.
The pair fought six times in the amateurs, with the latest encounter before their professional careers taking place in 2015 when the pair were 16 years old, at the USA Youth National Championship quarter-finals.
The results of these six encounters? Three wins apiece. And with their fight in the pro game now ruled a no-contest, the pair are still even in terms of wins.
It’s clear Turki Alalshikh has them both on the same card in order to set up a rematch, so it’s possible this year or next we finally get to see who will come out on top.
