Roy Jones Jr. was considered to be one of the pound-for-pound best fighters in the world during the prime of his career.
From Jones Jr. winning knockout of the year to being a world champion in four weight classes, the star is considered one of the greatest-ever boxers.
Showing his talents from a young age, a win over Bernard Hopkins would see Jones Jr. become a world champion at 24 years old. The fighter was even able to follow up the win with a knockout over Thulani Malinga.
However, prior to winning his first world title, Jones Jr. was able to show his skills in the ring.

Five months before getting his first world title shot against Hopkins, Jones Jr. was showing the world his talents as a rising contender.
Paired up with Percy Harris (15-3), Jones Jr. was six years younger than his opponent when they met in December 1992. However, the then-future world champion was able to extend his winning streak to 20.
Fighting in Atlantic City, Jones Jr. delivered a brutal beating to his opponent.
The opening seconds of the bout would see Harris get knocked down by a thumping right hand from Jones Jr. The same punch would then cause Harris to go down for a second time in the final minute of the round.
A left hook in round two would see Harris once again go down, however, he would survive to see the end of the round.
In round four, the bout would come to an end. In the final 30 seconds of the round, Jones Jr. would sting Harris with a left hook. Harris then waved towards his opponent, inviting him forward. Just over 10 seconds later, Jones Jr. would catch Harris with numerous stinging blows, putting the fighter down and out.
Roy Jones Jr. won his first world title in his 22nd professional fight
Following his win over Harris with a first-round knockout over Glenn Wolfe, Jones Jr. was awarded a title opportunity against Hopkins.
Competing for the vacant IBF World Middleweight belt, Jones Jr. had a professional record of 21-0. As for Hopkins, his record was 22-1.
In a relatively close affair, the younger fighter in Jones Jr. would earn the victory in May 1993 via decision.
Jones Jr. would make just one defense of his world title before moving to the super middleweight division in 1994.
