Eddie Hearn has spoken out on the British prospect who will be the next big thing after sparring a highly-touted professional.
Eddie Hearn has a lot of praise for his fighters, from his Olympic signings such as Teremoana, who scored a 57-second KO once, to Conor Benn, who he believes will become a global star with a win over Chris Eubank Jr. this weekend.
One lesser-known Brit who Hearn envisions going on to do big things is 7-0 Giorgio Visioli, who Hearn said smashed the next Floyd Mayweather to pieces.

Giorgio Visioli obliterated highly-touted Curmel Moton in sparring
In an interview with IFL TV, Visioli’s spar with Curmel Moton was mentioned: “Moton is penned in to be the next Tank, the next Mayweather. [Giorgio Visioli] let the cat out of the bag a little bit by saying that he done well in that spar.”
Moton is a 7-0 professional like Visioli, with 6 knockouts. He is best known for his decorated amateur career, which saw him amass a record of 156-7.
Hearn, who stood beside Visioli, said of the spar: “He smashed [Moton] to pieces […] There’s a lot of good young fighters, so you got to do something a little bit extraordinary to get noticed.”
He did, however, admit that “sparring is sparring.”
Visioli joins the likes of Pat Brown, who spars Dave Allen, as one to watch in the British scene.
Curmel Moton issues scathing response to Eddie Hearn and Giorgio Visioli
In response to the interview clip, Mayweather’s protege Moton blasted Hearn, whose worst night promoting involved David Haye and Audley Harrison, and Visioli, writing:
“Buddy definitely ain’t smash nothing. But you can hype your boy up off a sparring session with me.”
He added that he’s more than open to face Visioli to dispel any rumors of the unsuccessful sparring session:
“If you tryna really test his level where it counts you know where to find me Eddie.”
Visioli’s brother clapped back, questioning why the sparring footage hasn’t been released if Moton’s words are true.
Visioli stopped durable 19-11-2 Kane Baker in the fourth round of his latest contest.
