Moses Itauma is perhaps the brightest young spark in the heavyweight division in 2025.
Still just 20 years of age, the knockout artist has already shown that he can be a threat in boxing’s biggest division.
Winning all but two of his fights via knockout, Itauma maintains his undefeated 11-0 record. His next fight will see him take on Mike Balogun (21-1), as the prospect puts his 100% record on the line.
However, based on recent performances, Itauma should go into the bout with plenty of confidence. In a 2024 outing, Itauma was able to one-up the likes of Wladimir Klitschko and Dillian Whyte with his performance over a veteran.

Moses Itauma had a crushing performance over Mariusz Wach
In July 2024, Itauma would have his 10th professional fight. Stepping into the ring opposite him was Mariusz Wach (38-10).
The two competed in London, in a card that featured Derek Chisora vs Joe Joyce.
Beginning to open up in the second round, Itauma would find the mark against his Polish opponent. A lead hook from Itauma would then catch a retreating Wach, sending the veteran down.
Backing Wach into the corner following the restart, Itauma would begin to fire off accurate and sharp combinations on his opponent. Not throwing punches in defense, the referee intervened and called off the bout.
The bout was waved off with 30 seconds left in the second round, as Itauma improved his unbeaten record to 10-0.
Mariusz Wach fared much better against Wladimir Klitschko and Dillian Whyte
Itauma was not the first notable opponent that has shared the ring with Wach. As an undefeated fighter, the Polish fighter had a world title opportunity against Klitschko in 2012.
Although the champion would have a one-sided performance, he was unable to get a finish, winning via unanimous decision.
Dillian Whyte was also unable to get a stoppage victory over Wach, as the two fought in 2019.
Martin Bakole, who recently lost to Joseph Parker, has also faced Wach. He was however able to stop the fighter. Their 2019 meeting ended via eight-round TKO.
