Mike Tyson has become a fan favorite due to his aggressive style and countless nights of entertainment, as well as his chaotic life outside the ring.
The heavyweight legend has had a wild life and career – from Mike Tyson‘s ear-biting fight with Evander Holyfield to Iron Mike’s starring role in a Nintendo bestseller.
It was his aggressive peek-a-boo style that made fans of many, though – the same aggression that saw Tyson break the eye socket of a gangster.
This style has been emulated by many, but one got Tyson’s seal of approval.

Mike Tyson admires fan emulating his style on the bags
In a clip recently posted to X by The Ring, Tyson can be seen observing a fan working the heavy bag using his trademark style.
The coach is Mohamed Al-Awadi, a boxing coach who specializes in the peek-a-boo style that Tyson became known for.
Tyson can be seen embracing Awadi and sharing words of praise after watching him develop his craft.
The same coach was also seen learning from the great Teddy Atlas, who recently praised Dana White’s new TKO league, and who was at one point Tyson’s assistant coach.
Mike Tyson’s advice almost saw a debutant beat a world champion
In 2023, in one of the events that paved the way for Saudi investment in boxing, Tyson Fury fought Francis Ngannou in a huge crossover event, with Ngannou having never had a professional boxing bout before, but being known as a feared MMA champion.

Ngannou appointed Mike Tyson to oversee his training, which, despite the end result, turned out to be a brilliant choice.
The fight, which many expected to be one-sided, was anything but, with an underprepared Fury dropped in the third round.
Fury beat Ngannou by a somewhat controversial split decision.
