Manny Pacquiao retired in 2021 after a loss to Yordenis Ugas, though it was two fights earlier that he defeated a boxer known for his showboating antics.
In 2021, Manny Pacquiao returned to boxing after a two-year layoff to face Errol Spence Jr.
Spence withdrew from the Pacquiao fight after a detached retina left him unable to fight, and Pacquiao instead faced Ugas, who defeated him in a close points decision.
One fight before that Pacquiao became the oldest welterweight world champion by defeating Keith Thurman, and one fight before that, he shut up a showboater.

Manny Pacquiao humbled Adrien Broner in his forties
Adrien Broner is known for his showboating antics, be it when Broner bragged about stealing Paulie Malignaggi’s girlfriend, or when he engaged in crude behavior in the corner whilst fighting Marcos Maidana, who went on to defeat him in a humbling fight.
Broner, who made Gervonta Davis cry, was 33-3-1 when he faced Pacquiao, having lost only to Mikey Garcia, Shawn Porter, and Maidana, who has a necklace with Floyd Mayweather’s tooth on it.
Pacquiao meanwhile boasted a record of 60-7-2.
The fight was close but Pacquiao proved to be the better man and came out on top. Broner felt he wasn’t given a fair shake, and, according to BoxRec, told the commentator Jim Gray that he wasn’t given the win as fans wanted to see a rematch between Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather, who was ringside for the fight.
Adrien Broner lost a tooth in failed comeback fight
Having finished his career with a win over Bill Hutchinson in 2023, Broner decided to return to the ring a year later against Blair ‘The Flair’ Cobbs.
Cobbs was 16-1-1 at the time, but his youth proved to be too much for Broner, and he won a unanimous decision victory against the aged showboater.
There was one moment in the fight though, where Cobbs found great success, knocking out one of Broner’s teeth in round two when Broner was dropped by Cobbs.
The commentators could be heard saying: “They picked up a tooth off the canvas.”
“Adrien ‘The Problem’ Broner is one less tooth now than he began the night with.”
