The greatest fighter to ever come from the Philippines, Manny Pacquiao, will always be remembered for his achievements in the sport.

No fighter has won world titles in more weight classes than Pacquiao. As well as this, ‘Pac-Man’ is considered one of the greatest lightweight fighters of all time.

From Pacquiao knocking out Ricky Hatton to having a huge money affair with Floyd Mayweather, the former champions career has not been short of notable moments.

Among his incredible resume is one boxing legend whom Pacquiao defeated in style.

Manny Pacquiao had a dominant win over Shane Mosley in 2011

After losing a close decision to Erik Morales, Pacquiao went on a 13-fight winning streak. Competing in various divisions, November 2010 would see Pacquiao become a super welterweight champion.

Claiming the vacant title in a fight with Antonio Margarito, ‘Pac-Man’ would move back down to welterweight to defend his belt in that division six months later.

Fighting at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Shane Mosley would challenge Pacquiao for the title on May 7th, 2011.

‘Sugar’ went into the fight with a 46-6-1 record and was coming off a draw with Sergio Mora the previous year. A win over Pacquiao would make Mosley a two-time welterweight champion.

However, it was not to be for the American. In what turned out to be a one-sided affair, Pacquiao would dominate Mosley. The most notable moment of the fight would come in the third round when a sharp left hand sent Mosley to the canvas.

The fighters would hear the final bell, with Pacquiao winning almost every round on the judges’ scorecards. Mosley would later say that Pacquiao hit him the hardest of any opponent.

Manny Pacquiao followed Shane Mosley win with Juan Manuel Marquez trilogy

Six months after having an impressive showing against Mosley, Pacquiao would face former foe Juan Manuel Marquez. The two would compete in November 2011, as Pacquiao boasted a win over Marquez, with their first fight being a draw.

Their third bout would be subject to some controversy as the fight went all 12 rounds. Pacquiao was announced as the winner via majority decision. However, fans felt the bout should have gone in favor of one of the greatest Mexican fighters of all time.

Despite being 0-2-1 against Pacquiao, Marquez would get a fourth opportunity to beat the Filipino fighter. In their 2012 meeting, Marquez would finally get victory.

Not leaving the result in the hands of the judges, Marquez won the bout via sixth-round knockout.
