Keyshawn Davis’ next opponent is the king of ringwalks and knows how to make an entrance

Keyshawn Davis is set to fight for his first world title against a Ukrainian world champion and ringwalk extraordinaire.

Keyshawn Davis holds a record of 12-0 following his last fight, where he stopped Gustavo Lemos in just two rounds.

Lemos at the time had lost only to Richardson Hitchins, who is now a world champion, on a twelve-round points decision.

Davis is set to fight for the WBO world title, the first world title challenge of his career on Friday the 14th on a ‘Valentines Fight Night’ card, with the undercard featuring talents such as Xander Zayas and Abdullah Mason, as well as the grandson of Muhammad Ali, Nico Ali Walsh.

Jared Anderson also makes his return after last year’s brutal stoppage loss to Martin Bakole, who may be facing Anthony Joshua next.

From spartan soldier to teddy bear, Denys Berinchyk has done it all

Berinchyk is more than just a skilled operator in the ring and is also a keen showman in the moments leading up to it.

In one outing, Berinchyk landed in the ring from the air above, whilst in another he opened a ‘beer’ keg in the ring and drank it.

He has made an entrance by breaking glass dressing as the Hulk, arriving on horseback, and being stretchered in with a cast on his arm and leg.

Fans of the Ukrainian champion are eager to see how he makes his entrance against Davis, with a Valentine’s Day spin potentially on the cards.

Why Keyshawn Davis will never fight Shakur Stevenson

If Davis beats Berinchyk on Valentine’s Day there are a whole host of opponents that he may face next, but Shakur Stevenson is not one of them.

In an interview with Ring Magazine, Davis was asked why he’s been vocal about never fighting Stevenson.

Davis replied, “Just this last weekend, he and his entire family was over at my house. […] I’m never ever ever ever fighting Shakur.”

Elaborating on his love for Stevenson, Davis told Ring Magazine: “I was going through my deep depression times, even before I went into a mental home […] I started talking to Shakur a lot.

“I go into the mental home and he calling me in there, checking up on me.

“I get out the mental home, he pulling up on me, making sure I’m straight, making sure I get back in the gym, making sure I continue to do what I love.”

Davis concludes, “He was there for me at my worst times.”

Though he has no intention of fighting Stevenson, Davis has expressed a desire to fight Gervonta Davis, telling Ring Magazine: “I just think he doesn’t have the balls to fight me”.
