Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano: Expert prediction suggests long-awaited rematch will deliver fireworks once again

Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson might be the name at the top of the bill tonight, but we all know what the real headliner is.

Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano come face-to-face in the ring for the first time in two-and-a-half years.

Taylor was victorious in their last contest, a brutal 10-round brawl that the Bray-born fighter won via split decision.

As they prepare to do battle in the ring again, there has been plenty of debate about how this fight could go.

Now, it’s the turn of BloodyKnockout.com to predict how this contest could go.

Bloody Knockout predict Taylor to rule supreme once again

Make no mistake, this is the best fight of the night.

In what will be a historic occasion for women’s boxing as Taylor and Serrano take home the biggest payday in the sport’s history, the loser of this fight will know that could be their career done and dusted.

Taylor made several unforced errors in their original contest and came away badly damaged. Like she did in her rematch victory against Chantelle Cameron though, the 38-year-old will no doubt use those past errors and avoid making a similar mistake again.

Serrano is a complete fighter and will give her Irish counterpart plenty to think about. In terms of raw power, you will struggle to find a women’s fighter better than the Puerto Rican across all of the divisions and landing a flush shot or two on the older Taylor could turn the tide in her favor.

The weight disparity also can’t be ignored. Serrano was fighting at 126 pounds as recently as last year whereas Taylor has continued at the heavyweight 140 pounds.

It would unfair to compare this fight to the original blockbuster as that could only leave some supporters wanting more but I would expect this one to be another great watch for different reasons in which Taylor will defend her titles once again.
