Jermall Charlo will return to the ring after an 18-month layoff against 39-5-1 Thomas LaManna.
Jermall Charlo’s career has been plagued by inactivity lately, with just three fights in the last five years, and over two years between his last fight and the fight before.
Charlo will now return after another long layoff against Thomas LaManna, who called out Chris Eubank Jr. seven times, but it was just a few fights ago that Charlo one-upped Gennadiy Golovkin with a win over a tough and talented Ukrainian boxer.

Jermall Charlo defeated Sergiy Derevyanchenko in better fashion than Gennadiy Golovkin
In 2020, Charlo faced 13-2 Sergiy Derevyanchenko. Derevyanchenko had lost only by split decision to Daniel Jacobs and, in his last fight, unanimous decision against Golovkin.
Despite being dropped in the first round by Golovkin, Derevyanchenko regained his composure and fought on, giving ‘Triple G’ one of his toughest fights ever.
The scorecards after the final bell read 115-112, 115-112, 114-113, meaning Derevyanchenko became closer than any other man, except Canelo, at beating the Kazakh.
Charlo, who KO’d Dennis Hogan, faced Derevyanchenko in his next fight, and outclassed him better than Golovkin could.
He won the fight with a clear unanimous decision and scores of 118-110, 117-111, 116-112.
Jermall Charlo dominated the only man to stop Oleksandr Usyk
Oleksandr Usyk boasts a perfect pro record, and an equally impressive, albeit with a few losses, amateur record.

However, Usyk has only ever been stopped once, back in 2006 when Russian boxer Matvey Korobov beat Usyk in the third of four rounds at the EABA European Championships semi-final.
Korobov turned pro years later, and built a record of 28-1 before facing Charlo, who defeated him in a clear unanimous decision.
