Jake Paul’s coach learned his craft from a Kronk legend at the age of seven

Jake Paul is gearing up for the biggest fight of his career against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., and his coach may make or break his performance.

Jake Paul is in for what could be his toughest night in boxing against former world champion, 54-6-1 Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

The son of a legend has been written off by many, as despite his accolades, he has fought just once in four years, against a 1-0 opponent, and was beaten not too long ago by Anderson Silva, who Paul has already defeated.

A win means Paul can say he’s beaten a former champion and Canelo opponent, and will significantly bolster his record, on paper at least.

But a win depends not only on Chavez or Paul, but also on their teams.

Jake Paul’s coach was mentored by Kronk legend, Emanuel Steward

Paul’s head coach, Theo ‘Third’ Chambers, has been working with Paul, who has earned over $160M from boxing, for a few fights now, and has had nothing but praise for ‘The Problem Child.’

Chambers was trained under the legendary Emanuel Steward, who trained names such as Thomas Hearns, Lennox Lewis, and Wladimir Klitschko.

The American coach racked up a pro record of 10-3, having been coached by Steward since he was seven years old.

In a post on the Kronk gym’s official X account, Chambers said of Paul: “I don’t train everybody, I get calls all the time. […] I see right through these guys […] He just doing this to say that I’m a boxer, well, I don’t want those people, and when I saw Jake Paul, and I saw him fight, I seen he had heart, I seen he work hard, and that’s like the only reason why I chose to basically work with him.”

“If I say run eight miles, he don’t say nothing back he just put his gym shoes on.”

Jake Paul has retired 75% of his opponents

Now standing at 11-1, Paul’s boxing career has seen him face numerous MMA fighters, and ‘The Problem Child’ has actually retired all but three of his 11 opponents (11 opponents as he fought Woodley twice).

The three who have fought since are as follows:

AnEsonGib – Paul’s first opponent has fought numerous times since, though has remained in the influencer boxing circles, facing Austin McBroom and Slim Albaher.

Nate Diaz – Diaz has had one bout since, in which he won a majority decision over Jorge Masvidal.

Tommy Fury – Fury has fought KSI since, and then, after some inactivity, Fury faced Kenan Hanjalic in an unimpressive ring return.
