Jake Paul dominated bare knuckle champion to set up blockbuster Mike Tyson clash in 2024

Jake Paul’s meeting with Mike Tyson generated headlines across the world as the internet star met the boxing legend.

Taking on one of the greatest heavyweights of all time, Paul’s last outing was certainly an unorthodox one.

‘The Problem Child’ extended his professional record to 11-1 with a unanimous decision victory over Tyson in November 2024. However, the pair were meant to meet months beforehand.

Health complications meant that the 58-year-old was not able to compete in July as originally scheduled. Paul did still compete however, as he had a dominant showing.

Jake Paul proved to be too much for Mike Perry to handle in the boxing ring

Following the withdrawal of Tyson from the July 20th bout, Paul sought a new opponent. To replace the heavyweight legend, Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship champion Mike Perry stepped in.

Perry is a former UFC fighter who enjoyed significant success following his departure from the MMA organization. Competing in BKFC, Perry was 6-0 in the sport going into the fight with Paul, with a 0-1 boxing record.

The pair met in a cruiserweight bout, the weight class in which Paul intends to stay, as they met in Florida.

Despite Perry’s bare knuckle fighting form being so good, he could not offer a decent challenge to Paul.

Rounds one and two would see Perry get knocked down by Paul, as well as the former UFC fighter getting stopped in the sixth round.

The win improved Paul’s record to 10-1, with a meeting with Tyson coming later that year.

Jake Paul aiming to add second world champion to resume on June 28th

Paul will aim to get the better of former world champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. when the pair compete in California on June 28th.

Chavez Jr. featured on the Paul vs Perry card, when he defeated former UFC star Uriah Hall via unanimous decision.

The Mexican will be the most experienced fighter that the internet star has faced in terms of the number of fights.

‘The Problem Child’ also boasts wins over two former UFC champions. Paul has defeated Tyron Woodley and Anderson Silva in professional boxing matches as he faced the MMA stars in their post-UFC career.
