How Jake Paul’s trainer helped turn commentator Wade Plemons into a professional boxer

With Jake Paul having established himself as the most successful fighter in the crossover scene, Wade Plemons has decided to follow in his footsteps and train with the social media star’s old coach.

The popular analyst is ready to make his boxing debut tomorrow night against Masai Warrior at Misfits 20 at the Co-op Live in Manchester, UK.

Wade Plemons teams up with former Jake Paul coach, BJ Flores

Jake Paul has come a long way from the man who first clashed with Deji several years ago, with ‘The Problem Child’ developing into a formidable fighter, possessing ferocious punching power and an iron will to win.

And a large part of why he’s achieved so much is down to the advice he received from BJ Flores, with the former world title contender teaching the Cleveland brawler the ropes.

Now, the talented trainer has taken Wade Plemons under his wing, with the 45-year-old set to guide the commentator into battle tomorrow night.

And Wade, who watched Rocky 4 and 5 on the plane over to the UK, ahead of the fight, views Flores as the Mickey Goldmill to his Balboa.

In an exclusive interview with Bloody Knockout, the content creator explained: “BJ is the man. He has made it very simple for me—he is coach—I am athlete—what he says, I do.

“I’m usually a very over-analytical guy, love to break things down, really look into things. But for this, it’s been simple. He removes all the thinking I just do.

“It’s been great being out in Arizona; he’s welcomed me in, not just him but Tristan Ham and Josh Brueckner, and the entire team, with whom I didn’t have a relationship with previously, but have welcomed me with open arms. It’s been a great team experience.”

Will Wade Plemons ever fight KSI?

Despite never having set foot in the ring before, Wade Plemons has established himself as one of the faces of the scene.

Throughout his time in the sport, he’s never backed down from a war of words with KSI or Logan Paul.

With that in mind, fellow crossover boxer, Joey Knight, suggested that he could be a good opponent for ‘The Nightmare’ if he wins on Saturday evening.

However, Wade is refusing to overlook Masai Warrior, claiming: “We take these things one fight at a time, because I take every fight as seriously as it needs to be taken.

“We’re not going to look past Saturday; whatever happens on Saturday, we’ll go home, I’ll talk to coach, we’ll see what he has to say, and we’ll move forward.”
