Gervonta Davis is 30-0 with only two men ever hearing the final bell against him. He looks to continue that knockout streak in what may be his final fight ever against Lamont Roach.
Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis is set to make his 31st appearance in the ring on March 1st against 25-1-1 Lamont Roach.
Roach is a super-featherweight world champion and former rival of Davis in the amateurs. Davis beat Roach twice in the amateurs, though Roach believes at least one of those occasions was a case of incorrect scoring.
Davis’ dedication to the sport cannot be questioned, with his coach telling of how Tank cried witnessing Adrien Broner fight in Vegas because it inspired him to be great.
The boxing star has put together a string of knockout victories, with Isaac Cruz being the only man to hear the judges’ scorecards since 2014.

Gervonta Davis wanted some Skittles before knocking out Hector Luis Garcia
In his last three fights, Tank has stopped Frank Martin, Ryan Garcia, and Hector Luis Garcia, who Roach also beat on a split decision.
Garcia, the only common opponent between Davis and Roach, was stopped by Tank in the ninth round of their 2023 encounter.
Davis reportedly asked his team for both normal and sour Skittles as a pre-fight snack before decimating Garcia.
Garcia has now moved to 16-2, though he was undefeated at the time the pair fought.
Gervonta Davis spent one hour on the heavy bag non-stop in preparation for Lamont Roach
Though a 12-round boxing match lasts 36 minutes if it goes the distance, which with Tank’s explosive power is rarely the case, the Baltimore native has taken his training to the next level to prepare for Roach.
In a post on X, Davis can be seen using the heavy bag for one hour with no breaks. This is a testament to his resilience and skillset.
It is unclear whether Davis really will retire after fighting Roach, with Shakur Stevenson responding to Tank after Davis criticized Stevenson’s performance against Josh Padley it is clear there are still big fights for Tank in the sport.
Another option was Lomachenko, though it seems he does not want the fight at the moment, and Tank recently defended Lomachenko from ducking accusations.
If he does retire, however, he can at least say he provided the fans with countless nights of entertainment.
