Gervonta Davis has built a reputation as one of the most explosive knockout-artists in modern boxing.
Gervonta Davis had a string of impressive victories ruined in his last fight as he fought to a draw with Lamont Roach Jr.
Prior to that fight, which was marred with controversy when no knockdown was scored after Davis took a knee, Tank had scored knockout wins over Frank Martin, Hector Garcia, and Ryan Garcia.
Despite his stoppage win over Garcia, it seems the judges were all rooting for Davis’ opponent as some skewed scorecards were raised after the fight.

Gervonta Davis reacts to ridiculous scorecards after win over Ryan Garcia
In 2023, Tank, whose nickname comes from having a big head, not from any accolades in the ring, defeated Garcia after dropping him in the second and seventh rounds.
Garcia folded after a body shot left him unable to stand and continue, securing Davis a career-best win.
In the post-fight press conference, though, a reporter alerted Tank to some bizarre scorecards:
“In the second round, the round that Tank knocked Garcia down, one of the judges scored it 10-10, and the other two judges had it 10-9,” a reporter said.
Davis, who KO’d Jose Pedraza, responds with a confused facial expression, as a 10-10 score should not be possible with a knockdown, and the 10-9s also seem highly generous to Garcia as the knockdown, combined with Tank winning the round, should mean scores of 10-8.
Gervonta Davis and Teofimo Lopez sparred as teenagers
In footage shared recently by The Ring Magazine on X, Davis, who has a 90% KO rate, can be seen sparring Teofimo Lopez, who was once punched by Thor Bjornsson, the world’s strongest man.
Fans were fast to react to the spar, with one writing:
“15yr old teofimo vs 19 yr old professional tank Davis who had 9 fights already and teo f—– him up easy work”
Lopez will fight Arnold Barboza Jr. next on the same card as Garcia vs Rolly Romero and Devin Haney vs Jose Ramirez in Times Square.
