George Foreman was hurt by Alex Stewart

On April 11, 1992, George Foreman went to war with Alex Stewart at the Thomas & Mack Center in Paradise, Nevada, USA.

The legend started well, landing powerful right hands to send his rival tumbling toward the canvas twice inside the second round.

In a testament to his fighting heart, Stewart rose to his feet and began to implement his jab, landing a plethora of shots that resulted in the icon’s face swelling up.

As the fight progressed, the underdog started to find real success, buzzing Foreman with straight right hands and left hooks.

By the midway stage, the pair were trading blows, with the future Hall of Famer sagging into the ropes after taking a ruthless combination.

Having lost the momentum, Foreman refused to give in, digging deep as he walked his opponent down, landing a thunderous uppercut.

When the final bell chimed, both men looked relieved, knowing that their war of attrition was finally over. After a close contest, the judges awarded Foreman the decision.
