EA Sports Fight Night fans have amused a former boxing star with their complaints that he’s extremely difficult to beat in the game.
While the former heavyweight in question is adamant that he was better in real life, he still finds it comical that combat sports fans have found it so hard to emerge victorious against his character model.
The ex-world title challenger initially featured in EA Sports Fight Night: Round 4, in 2009, before making the roster once again for EA Sports Fight Night: Champion, in 2010.
And while it’s been nearly 15 years since the launch of the last game, he’s still winding up players who can’t find a way to overcome his lightning hands.
WOW: Eddie Chambers reveals what he’d have done differently in his epic win over Samuel Peter

EA Sports Fight Night gamers can’t beat Eddie Chambers
In his professional boxing career, Eddie Chambers proved himself to be a truly brilliant competitor, dazzling crowds with his ferocious speed and tremendous boxing IQ.
During his time in the ring, ‘Fast’ picked up huge wins, defeating the likes of Samuel Peter and Alexander Dimitrenko. In addition, Chambers even recently opened up about his intense sparring sessions with Tyson Fury.
However, while he was extremely tough to overcome in real life, it turns out the virtual version of the fighter was equally as hard to get a win over, with gamers creating forums to complain about how good Chambers was on EA Sports Fight Night.
In an exclusive interview with Bloody Knockout, the counterpuncher chuckled: “They’re probably like, ‘Who is this dude, why is he so hard to beat on there’? In real life, I should be harder to beat than on there.
“It was an awesome thing. Fight Night Champion was the second one I did, which I opted to do for no cost. I didn’t even care about the money.
“Even today, people still play because there wasn’t a boxing game for years. So, they’re still playing Fight Night, and I’m on there. It keeps you relevant. So, for me to do it, was an awesome thing.
“I had a better rating on Round 4, but I was fat on Round 4, I looked crazy. Round 4 was good, and trust me, I played it a lot. But when Champion came out, I thought they did really good, especially at that time. The graphics were good, and the story mode was good.
“It was a fun game, and it was an honor to be on it. I’m a gamer too. At that time, that’s all we did in camp, was play video games when we had downtime. Because you can’t see your girl, go clubbing or do any of that craziness.
“So, we’re just sitting in the house, playing video games. I’m sitting there playing Fight Night, and I’m on the game. I never wanna use myself unless it’s career mode. But, like I said, it’s an honor, I loved it.”
Eddie Chambers’ dad boxed one of the greatest fighters of all time
At the peak of his powers, Chambers was a truly tremendous boxer, with The Ring Magazine ranking him the number four heavyweight on the planet.
However, he may never have reached the dazzling heights he did, without his father, who taught him the ropes at boxing shows across Pennsylvania.
The icon cherishes the time he spent on the road with his father, remembering the fights fondly and the Burger King he used to have on the way home even more so.
And it’s fair to say the star couldn’t have had a much more knowledgeable coach, as Chambers’ dad traded punches with one of the best boxers to have ever laced up the gloves.
