Floyd Mayweather will be remembered throughout time as one of the greatest ever fighters to step in the ring.
Rounding off an incredible career with a huge money-generating showdown with Conor McGregor, Mayweather’s professional record stands at a perfect 50-0.
Defeating the likes of Canelo Alvarez, Manny Pacquiao, and Oscar De La Hoya, few could even get close to causing Mayweather any issues.
In his post-professional career, Mayweather has continued to step into the ring. However, although he is putting on the gloves again, they have been for more unorthodox bouts.
Partaking in exhibition fights, ‘Money’ Mayweather has fought some unusual opponents, including internet stars and MMA fighters.
The unofficial fights have split opinions among fans, including Eddie Hearn scolding Mayweather for his exhibition bouts. However, his first may have been one of the more unusual exhibitions Mayweather has taken part in.

Floyd Mayweather’s opponent began to cry after first-round loss
Following his epic showdown with Conor McGregor, fans were surprised to see that Mayweather’s next fight would not be a professional one.
In an unlikely event, Mayweather would take on Tenshin Nasukawa, a Japanese kickboxer.
Sporting a 28-0 kickboxing record, Nasukawa was a 20-year-old fighter who never had a boxing fight before. However, he would still step in the ring with one of the greatest boxers of all time when the two met in Japan.
The fight would occur on December 31st, 2018, in Saitama, Japan. As Mayweather was 21 years his opponent’s senior, he was also able to show a clear skill differential.
The exhibition bout was only scheduled for three minutes, however, the fight would not make it beyond the first.
Mayweather was smiling from the opening moments of the fight, with it taking him just over one minute to score his first knockdown with a left hook.
Getting knocked down two more times in quick succession, the corner of the Japanese fighter would throw in the towel. As the fight was waved off, Nasukawa began to shed tears, as Mayweather danced in victory.

Floyd Mayweather would have seven exhibition fights in his post-professional career
At the time of writing, Mayweather has competed in seven exhibition fights since his last competitive bout in August 2017.
His first was Mayweather’s win versus Nasukawa and Mayweather did not step into the ring for another three years after the bout.
In 2021, he would have another exhibition boxing fight, taking on internet star Logan Paul. The bout would end in a no-decision draw, as there were no judges for the bout.
In 2022, Mayweather would face off with Don Moore, who was a professional boxer. Again, there were no judges to score the bout, meaning no winner was named.
Mayweather would score back-to-back TKO victories later in 2022, defeating MMA fighter Mikuru Asakura and YouTube star Oladeji Olatubji, better known as ‘Deji’.
For his sixth and seventh bouts, Mayweather had a brace of fights against MMA fighter John Gotti III as the pair met in 2023 and 2024. However, a winner was not named for either bout.
