Floyd Mayweather destroyed Victor Ortiz after ‘Viscious’ headbutted him
In the fourth round of his fight with Floyd Mayweather, Victor Ortiz began to find lots of success, landing powerful right hands and thunderous combinations.
Then, in a moment of madness, after bullying his opponent into the corner, the underdog made a monumental mistake, throwing a headbutt that caught his rival on the lip.
Unsurprisingly, the referee stopped the action to take a point.
Realizing his mistake, Ortiz headed straight to the center of the ring to hug Mayweather, who appeared to accept the apology, before, in a moment that embodied, ‘Protect yourself at all times’, the icon launched a left hook, followed by a right hand, to send his opponent, who still had his hands down, flying towards the canvas, to end the contest
While some fans felt the defeated fighter deserved his fate, others criticized the victor for a lack of sportsmanship.
