A boxer who once quit on his stool against Vasyl Lomachenko has quit once again in what may be the final fight of his career.
Vasyl Lomachenko is highly touted both for his amateur resume, which is the best in boxing at 396-1, and his professional accomplishments, winning world titles in three divisions and defeating tough opposition like Guillermo Rigondeaux.
Lomachenko has a professional record of 18-3, though many believe one of these losses was a case of aiming too high too soon, as he fought for a world title in his second fight. Another was a loss to Devin Haney, which many believe was the wrong decision.
One man who Lomachenko did beat conclusively, who he forced to quit on his stool, was Nicholas Walters.

Lomachenko opponent Nicholas Walters quits again, likely ending his career
Lomachenko, who begged the corner of Richard Commey to stop their fight years later, faced Nicholas Walters in 2016 and comprehensively outboxed him up to the seventh round.
In between rounds seven and eight, Walters’ team called a halt to the contest, handing the stoppage win to Lomachenko.
Walters took almost seven years off the sport of boxing after this, returning in 2023 and putting together a string of three wins before he quit all over again, against Luis Torres.
At the time of the fight, Walters held a record of 29-1-1, whilst Torres was 20-1.
Torres stopped Walters in the third round when the former world champion turned his back to the action and refused to continue, an act that may mark the end of his career.
Gervonta Davis may be next for Vasyl Lomachenko
It has been reported by The Ring that Lomachenko’s next fight may come against Gervonta Davis.
Davis’ last fight ended in a draw against Lamont Roach Jr. Tank and Roach had been rivals since the days of the amateurs.
Lomachenko was in talks to face Davis but withdrew due to lack of motivation. Davis defended Lomachenko from ducking allegations though, and seems keen to make the fight next after having his reputation damaged by his performance against Roach.
