Dillian Whyte’s career has seen a tumultuous time following his loss to Tyson Fury – with cancelled fights, a PED investigation, injuries, and lacklustre opponents all contributing to a dark moment in Whyte’s career.
Dillian Whyte became 28-3 after taking the third loss of his career to Tyson Fury. Whyte lost to the same punch as always – the uppercut, and has since struggled to get back to the top of the division.
After a comeback fight against Jermaine Franklin disappointed, with Whyte winning by majority decision in a fight some believe he lost, he was at something of a crossroads in his career, until an incredible opportunity landed on his lap.
Whyte was set to face Anthony Joshua for the second time, as Joshua continued his comeback after two losses to Oleksandr Uysk. The fight never happened, though, as Whyte tested positive for banned substances, causing his career a great deal of problems.

Dillian Whyte returned against boxer with ridiculous knockout to his name
Following an investigation and over a year out of the ring, Whyte fought 27-10 Christian Hammer in Ireland, defeating him in three rounds.
His next fight came in Gibraltar when he faced 23-1 Ebenezer Tetteh, who had lost only to Daniel Dubois.
Tetteh had 20 knockouts to his 23 wins, but one, as many soon found out on social media, was not quite what it seemed.
In 2024 Tetteh rematched Ayaovi Agbonson, who he first faced in 2022, winning by third-round stoppage. In the fight, Tetteh took Agbonson to round five before the most bizarre knockout occurred.
Without landing a punch on him, Tetteh took out Agbonson when the latter swung, missed, fell to the canvas and was counted out with a suspected shoulder injury.
Tetteh’s record was deceptive, as his boxing was not world-level, and Whyte dispatched him in round seven.
‘The Bodysnatcher’ was scheduled to face Joe Joyce after his win over Tetteh, but Whyte withdrew from the Joyce fight with injury.
Whyte has named Jarrell Miller, Zhilei Zhang, and Deontay Wilder as fights he wants next.
Ebenezer Tetteh was stopped brutally by Olympian making his comeback
Tetteh has fought once since his loss to Whyte, as he shared the ring with Frazer Clarke, who sought to make his own comeback after a brutal stoppage loss to Fabio Wardley after the pair fought to a draw.
Unlike Whyte, Clarke didn’t need seven rounds and stopped Tetteh in just one round.
