Devin Haney will return against Jose Ramirez in his next fight in May in Times Square.
Devin Haney‘s perfect record was restored after his loss to Ryan Garcia was overruled as a no-contest.
The American is a two-weight world champion, and was undisputed in the lightweight division. He holds wins over George Kambosos Jr., Jorge Linares, Vasyl Lomachenko, and Regis Prograis.
There is one thing Haney is criticized for by fans, and that is his punch power, with his last eight fights ending in a decision.

Devin Haney’s last stoppage came six years ago against Zaur Abdullaev
Haney may not have the most power in the divisions he’s fought in, especially compared to Ryan Garcia, who scored two round-one knockouts ahead of his match with Luke Campbell, or Gervonta Davis, who has a 90% KO rate, but his record is not without its knockouts.
Haney is 31-0 with 15 knockouts, less than 50%, and his last knockout came in 2019 against Zaur Abdullaev in Haney’s first world title shot.
He faced Abdullaev for the vacant WBC interim lightweight world title, and defeated Abdullaev in four rounds.
In his fight before that, Haney scored a KO win over Antonio Moran in the seventh round. Moran is a durable opponent, and has only been stopped once since by Andy Cruz, also in the seventh round.
Haney defeated Yuriorkis Gamboa by decision, where Isaac Cruz stopped him in five.
Devin Haney’s next opponent has lost to two high-level opponents
Haney is set to face Jose Ramirez on the same card as Garcia vs Rolly Romero, in a bid to set up a rematch between the pair after the controversy around their first fight.
Ramirez is 29-2, and has never been stopped. His first loss came in 2021 by razor-close decision to Josh Taylor, who took Ramirez’s WBC and WBO super lightweight world titles from him and became the undisputed champion.
After wins over Tank Davis’ opponent Jose Pedraza, as well as Richard Commey, who Vasyl Lomachenko beat, Ramirez faced Arnold Barboza Jr. last year.
Barboza Jr. defeated Ramirez in a close unanimous decision, before defeating Jack Catterall in an upset to earn his shot at Teofimo Lopez, a fight which lands on the same card as Haney and Garcia.
