In a moment of terror, Guy Williams quickly discovered why you don’t mess with David Tua.
On an episode of Jono and Ben, the comic decided to attend one of the legend’s press conferences, and the situation quickly spiralled out of control.
In an attempt to goad the power puncher into commenting on a potential showdown with a rugby legend, the funny man, bravely asked: “David, have you heard about what Sonny Bill Williams is saying about your mom?”
Clearly taken aback by the question, Tua took several moments to gather his thoughts before issuing his response.
With a look of thunder in his eyes, he pointed at the comedian and warned him: “You better be careful what you say now.”
Realizing he was in serious trouble, Williams attempted to climb out of the hole, exclaiming: “Sorry, he was saying nothing but nice things, nothing but compliments.”
This reaction prompted the boxer to chuckle: “I love this guy.”
With the crisis averted, Williams confessed: “That was the scariest s— of my life.”
