Conor Benn had a stunning knockout over former world champion before his canceled bout with Chris Eubank Jr.

Conor Benn has proved on multiple occasions that he is capable of putting away his opponents. With 14 knockouts to his name,’ The Destroyer’ possesses power in his hands.

The biggest test of Benn’s career with come when he faces bitter rival Chris Eubank Jr. on April 26th. Looking to get revenge for Eubank Jr.’s egg slap, Benn will aim to add another finish to his record.

Although Benn is yet to win a world title, he has been able to earn victories over former champions. This includes a 2021 outing where he won in stunning fashion.

Conor Benn knocked out Chris Algieri in 2021

After being flawless through 19 fights, Benn would be paired up with Chris Algieri in Liverpool, England in December 2021.

Fighting at the Echo Arena, Algieri was a former world champion. Only losing his belt to Manny Pacquiao, Algieri was previously the WBO World Lightweight title holder.

However, in what turned out to be the final bout of Algieri’s career, Benn emerged as the victor.

25-year-old Benn would show his speed and accuracy in the opening round, before landing a huge blow in the second. A left hook from the undefeated prospect would catch Algieri, who was sent tumbling to the ropes.

Recovering from the blow, the fight continued. However, Benn would end the show two rounds later.

In the fourth round, a lightning-fast one-two combination would find the mark from Benn. Algieri crumbled to the canvas after the shots, with just over 10 seconds left on the clock.

Algieri was counted out as Benn extended his record to 20-0.

Conor Benn was scheduled to fight Chris Eubank Jr. in 2022

Although Benn and Eubank Jr. will meet for the first time in 2025, they were originally supposed to compete in 2022.

Scheduled for October 8th, 2022, the pair were supposed to compete in the O2 Arena, London. However, following a positive drug test from Benn, the fight was canceled.

Benn has fought twice since the canceled bout. Beating Peter Dobson and Rodolfo Orozco, Benn will go into his bout with Eubank Jr. with a 23-0 record. As for his opponent, Eubank Jr. currently boasts 34 wins and three losses.
