Chris Eubank Jr. once got into social media spat with British singer after punishing KO win

Chris Eubank Jr. will face Conor Benn in a legacy-defining fight later this month.

Chris Eubank Jr. now holds a record of 34-3 and seeks to put the legacy of his family name on the line against the undefeated Conor Benn.

Eubank Jr. and Benn have made no secret of their dislike for one another, but it is not the first time Eubank Jr. has had a public rivalry.

Chris Eubank Jr. defends his dad from British singer’s criticism

Following his crushing third-round victory over Canelo‘s opponent Avni Yildirim in 2017, Eubank Jr. took to social media to share a moment in the ring after his victory.

Eubank shared a video of his father ushering ring girls out of the background of his post-fight interview, with the caption:

“To all ring girls. Do not photobomb me as my dad has a very particular set of skills. He will look for u, he will find u & he will pie u”

British singer Lily Allen was not pleased with this remark, and made a post of her own saying:

“They are doing their job. Your dad went bankrupt and gave you to a stranger in Vegas, the only photobomber here is him.”

Allen refers to Eubank Sr.‘s decision to move his son to Las Vegas to live with a family friend. He reasoned that they would be better educated and suited to life in the States.

Eubank Jr., who was restrained by Team Smith following his KO loss to Liam Smith, offered a scathing response: “Its called banter Lily. You’re well known for abusing drugs & alcohol so maybe focus on respecting yourself 1st before worrying about others.”

He will face Benn, who has sparred William Scull, in Tottenham, London, on April 26th.

Chris Eubank Jr. finished Avni Yildirim quicker than Canelo

Eubank Jr.’s win over Yildirim came quicker than Canelo’s, via a third-round stoppage, making Eubank Jr. the fastest to ever stop Yildirim.

Canelo faced him four years after Eubank, and came very close to beating Eubank’s feat, but won after Yildirim quit following the end of the third round.

Though both ended after three, Eubank stopped Yildirim in the third, not after, and defeated the Turkish boxer quicker than a pound-for-pound elite.

Eubank defeated Kamil Szeremeta quicker than Gennady Golovkin did, too.
