Chris Eubank Jr has never been able to hit the heights his famous father did in the boxing ring.
The British legend was a two-weight world champion, who shared a bitter rivalry with Nigel Benn.
Chris Eubank was guiding his son, who shares his name, through the boxing world and things were going well before their relationship broke down.
Chris Eubank Jr has never won a world title, but the 32-2 Englishman has been on the brink of glory for years.

Chris Eubank Jr outdid Canelo Alvarez with brutal KO
By October 2017, Eubank Jr. boasted a 26-1 record, with his only loss coming via a contested split decision against Billy Joe Saunders.
The 35-year-old had the chance to step out of his father’s shadow in the World Boxing Super Series tournament, and he looked like he might do just that after putting on a destructive display in the quarter-final.
Avni Yıldırım’s 16-0 record was shattered inside three rounds when he fought Eubank Jr in Stuggart, Germany.
The Turkish fighter was caught with a massive left hook and sent crashing to the canvas in round three.
Rather than begin a count, the referee immediately waved things off to declare Eubank Jr the winner with 62 seconds left on the clock.
Five wins later, Yıldırım got a super-middleweight world title opportunity against Anthony Dirrell in February 2019.
It ended in a technical decision defeat after an accidental head clash cut Dirrell and derailed their clash.
Dirrell got the win, but Yıldırım did enough to earn himself an even bigger fight with Canelo Alvarez.
In February 2021, he was once again overwhelmed and stopped quickly against elite opposition.
Yıldırım survived three rounds, but his corner pulled him out before the fourth frame again Canelo, who got the job done slightly slower than Eubank Jr did a few years prior.
What’s next for Chris Eubank Jr?
Eubank Jr is set for the biggest fight of his career against Conor Benn on April 26 in London.
If their first pre-fight press conference was an indication of what’s to come, expect fireworks between the two UK stars when they enter the ring.
On Tuesday, Eubank Jr smacked an egg off his rival’s head when they came face-to-face for a staredown.
Benn’s promoter was left furious by the incident that is currently being investigated by the powers at be.
“I’ll choose my words carefully. I wasn’t overly happy with it if I’m honest,” Eddie Hearn told Rado 4.
“I never feel like you should lay a hand on a fighter at a press conference, especially not with an object.
“It was always going to be a volatile buildup and it just turned up a notch. All bets are off now because I didn’t like what I saw from Eubank. It’s the fight game and everything with Eubank is premeditated and it will go viral and some people will like it but just understand the game changed tonight.”
