Chris Eubank Jr. beat boxer-turned-YouTuber with crushing final-round knockout

Chris Eubank Jr.’s career is reaching a close as he prepares to face Conor Benn this weekend, and though he never got involved in crossover boxing, one of his early opponents did later become YouTuber.

Chris Eubank Jr. is now aged 35, and is looking to cement his name, the name of a fighting family, in history with a second win over the Benn family.

The smaller man, Benn, brings unmatched ferocity and aggression, and, with Benn’s request for an 18-ft ring granted, guarantees to drag Eubank Jr. into a tear-up.

It remains to be seen who will win, as Eubank could prove too much for Benn, as he did for boxer-turned-YouTuber Tyan Booth.

Chris Eubank Jr. stopped boxer-turned-Youtuber Tyan Booth in closing moments of their fight

In 2013, Eubank Jr. fought his tenth fight against 11-9-2 Tyan Booth. Booth had fought for the English super-welterweight title the fight before, but lost on points and had yet to face anyone of Eubank’s caliber.

The fight almost went the distance, when an unanswered onslaught from Eubank in the final round resulted in a stoppage win for the legend’s son.

Booth, a friend of IFL TV, was involved in many of their interviews, even conducting some of his own. He later created his own YouTube channel, entitled TYFL TV, in which he comments on the happenings in boxing.

He retired from the sport in 2017, and uploaded to his channel as recently as a month ago. His channel now has over 28k subscribers.

Chris Eubank Jr. was six pounds heavier than Benn’s career heaviest weight in his last fight

In his latest fight, Eubank Jr. one-upped Gennady Golovkin when he stopped Kamil Szeremeta quicker than the Kazakh. Eubank Jr. was once meant to fight Golovkin, but Kell Brook stole the fight from under him.

Ahead of the fight, Eubank Jr. weighed in at over 159 pounds, which for Eubank Jr. was not that high a weight, given his peak saw him compete consistently at 167, with a win over JJ McDonagh coming at a weight of 168 pounds.

Benn, meanwhile, is a career 147-pounder, with only his last two fights seeing him fight beyond the 150.

In his latest two fights, Benn weighed in at 153.5 and 150.5, respectively. As a result, Eubank Jr. is clearly the bigger man, which may pose Benn problems on fight night.
