Chris Eubank and Nigel Benn had one of the most fierce rivalries in British boxing history.
The two met for the first time in 1990, when they faced off in Birmingham, England.
Despite the fight being a close affair, Eubank would be able to get the stoppage in the 9th round. The loss would mean that Benn lost his WBO World Middleweight title.
The two would meet again, but not for three years as Eubank and Benn signed their contracts on live television.
With their second bout ending in a draw, it was not the conclusive ending to the rivalry that fans hoped for. However, the pair would never have a rubber match.
This was not for a lack of trying, however. Eubank called for a trilogy bout with his rival whilst being a contestant on a famous British reality show.

Chris Eubank called out Nigel Benn 17 years after retiring
In 2015, Eubank was a contestant on the famous British reality TV show, ‘I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!’.
Eubank was 49 years old when he competed on the show that is set in Australia and was 17 years removed from his last bout.
However, despite his age and lack of recent fights, this did not stop Eubank from campaigning for a rubber match with his old rival on the show.
‘Simply the Best’ Eubank explained to his fellow contestants that he was not a competitive person naturally. However, he went on to explain that Benn brought out his competitive side.
“The bad blood between me and him [Benn] was, fierce,” Eubank said. “So I’m not really competitive, only with him.”
When Eubank was asked what was it about Benn that ‘activated’ his competitive side, the former champion said, “He won’t leave me alone. He keeps on chasing me on Twitter. He keeps on asking me for this rematch.”
The boxer was then asked if he would rematch Benn, to which Eubank replied, “If I do, he’s not beating me. Now, who wants to see that fight here?… Of course, there’s a part of Chris Eubank who wants to get in the ring with Nigel Benn. That will always be the case.”
Chris Eubank Jr threatens Nigel Benn ahead of Conor Benn bout
Chris Eubank Jr. will take on Conor Benn in April 2025, as the two sons look to continue their father’s rivalry.
There is no lack of ferocity between the pair ahead of their match, as chaotic scenes broke out when Eubank Jr. hit Benn with an egg at a recent face-off.
During the altercation, Nigel Benn was seen with his hands on the neck of his former rival’s son, which led to Eubank Jr. threatening him.
“You did put your hand on my neck. I’m going to give you a pass because of what happened, but I’m just letting you know, if your hand ever touches me again, you won’t get it back,” Eubank Jr. said in a press conference.
Conor Benn then responded before his father could, firing a warning at his future opponent.
