Charles Martin picked up the IBF world heavyweight championship after his opponent suffered a nasty injury during the fight.
His 85-day reign concluded against Anthony Joshua, after he failed to beat the ten-count following a second knockdown.
His reign is the second shortest in heavyweight boxing history, with only Tony Tucker having spent a shorter period of time on the throne, with 64 days.
Regardless, Martin still has the belt sitting on his mantelpiece, even if he did win it in strange circumstances.

Charles Martin won the world title after Vyacheslav Glazkov got injured
On January 16, 2016, Charles Martin went head-to-head with Vyacheslav Glazkov inside the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, USA.
The pair were vying for the vacant IBF title that was stripped from Tyson Fury due to the ‘The Gypsy King’ being unable to fulfill his mandatory duties due to his rematch clause with Wladimir Klitschko.
The bout got off to an interesting start, with Martin landing jabs upstairs, while Glazkov targeted the body.
Alas, despite the bout having the potential of turning into an interesting collision, disaster soon struck.
In a moment of madness during the third round, the Ukrainian evaded a right hook, and ended up falling towards the canvas.
Despite making it back to his feet, he was quickly on the ground again.
Clearly in pain, he told the referee he couldn’t continue, thus crowning Martin the heavyweight world champion.
Glazkov was later diagnosed with a torn right ACL.
Anthony Joshua went down for the first time against a boxing legend
Joshua destroyed Martin not so long after and quickly aimed to pick up another heavyweight belt.
Throughout his career, ‘AJ’ has proven himself to be a truly tremendous puncher. Joshua knocked out Alexander Povetkin with a devastating shot and rendered Francis Ngannou unconscious after the MMA star had pushed Fury to his limits.
But on a night he’ll never forget, the Brit had to overcome an icon who was just as powerful as him.
In a dramatic moment, a boxing legend dropped Joshua with a heavy blow.
