Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford simulation predicts shocking KO in rumored super fight

Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford may meet in 2025 for what would be one of the biggest fights of the year.

There have been significant talks of a fight between the super middleweight and super welterweight champions. However, fans are still waiting for an official announcement.

Crawford’s social media post caused excitement among fans as he said he was going to “shock the world,” potentially alluding to an Alvarez bout.

It has also been confirmed that Alvarez met with Alalshikh ahead of the Ring Magazine awards in January, meaning a Crawford fight could have been discussed.

Although there are two weight classes between the fighters, it is one of the most desired fights that could be made all year.

Simulation predicts round seven stoppage in Alvarez vs Crawford

Boxing Fight Simulations have shown what an AI thinks would happen should Alvarez and Crawford meet in the ring.

Using the boxing video game Undisputed, a simulation predicts for a close affair between Alvarez and Crawford, before a knockout in round seven.

The simulation had Crawford ahead on the scorecards going into the seventh round after Canelo hit the canvas in round three.

This wouldn’t be the only time Canelo was predicted to hit the ground, as in round seven, Crawford finished his opponent.

A body shot would spell the end for Canelo as Crawford emerged the winner, according to the simulation.

However, in simulations for both Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul and Artur Beterbiev vs Dmitry Bivol, the predicted result was incorrect.

Terence Crawford and Canelo Alvarez have both met with Turki Alalshikh ahead of potential bout

Both Crawford and Alvarez were in London in January to attend the Ring Magazine awards. On the same weekend, both men were pictured with the Saudi Arabian advisor.

Although the pair have been known to have their differences, Alvarez’s meeting with Alalshikh was a good sign of progress for the potential super fight.

Alvarez last competed in September of 2024 and is currently without an opponent at the start of 2025.

As for Crawford, he last fought a month before Alvarez, defeating Israil Madrimov for the WBO Interim Super Welterweight title.
