Canelo Alvarez once appeared in a movie and managed to earn himself a healthy sum for an appearance that was just seconds long.
Canelo is one of the best Mexican boxers of all time and has done it all, winning across five separate weight divisions to cement himself as a pound-for-pound great.
It seems that the 34-year-old will also get the chance to test himself against another boxing great, with a fight between Canelo and Terence Crawford reportedly agreed for September.
Away from the ring, Alvarez is a worldwide sensation and his status even saw him land a role in the Rocky movie spin-off ‘Creed III’.
Other boxing stars including Crawford and former British boxer-turned-pundit Tony Bellew have also featured in the Creed franchise.
Although his time in the movie was brief, Canelo Alvarez was still able to land a huge pay day.

Star of the film Michael B. Jordan reportedly insisted on Alvarez featuring in the film, which came out in March 2023.
It was the first time he had stepped into the world of acting where he played the role of a boxer, unsurprisingly.
In the film he appears on the red carpet for a promotion of the Adonis Creed fight alongside wife, Fernanda Gomez.
His appearance lasts no longer than a few seconds but according to multiple reports, including AS, Alvarez pocked almost $1m for his role..

Michael B. Jordan on working with Canelo Alvarez in Creed III
Anyone working with a legendary actor such as Jordan would consider it the pinnacle of their career.
However, the shoe was on the opposite foot as the actor, who was playing the lead role of Apollo Creed, admitted that the 34-year-old even took time out of his training schedule to be in the film and was impressed by his acting.
“It was great, Canelo was awesome,” Jordan said, via Marca.
“He was really humble and sweet and nice.
“Him and his wife were there and it was a great time.
“He was training for a fight then, so the fact that he stepped away from training for a fight for a few hours to be with us made us feel very special and privileged.”
Creed III managed to gross a total of $58.7m in the United States on it’s first weekend of release, becoming the best sports movie opening in history at the time.
