Marcos Maidana claims to wear Floyd Mayweather’s tooth as a necklace

On May 3, 2014, Marcos Maidana challenged Floyd Mayweather for his welterweight world titles in a blockbuster showdown at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

Determined to pull off a major upset, the underdog went straight for the American, throwing everything but the kitchen sink in his attempt to change his life forever.

Applying relentless pressure, Maidana began to get to the icon, landing a ferocious right hand in the third round, in which a slow-motion replay appeared to show Mayweather’s tooth flying out of his mouth.

Ultimately, the slick boxer was able to ride the storm and eventually got a handle on the fight, winning via majority decision.

The victor completely denied that he lost any teeth during the bout, but that’s not what Maidana says.

‘El Chino’ is not only adamant that he did, in fact, inflict the damage, but also boastfully wears a chain with what he says is his rival’s tooth.

Whether Maidana is telling the truth or not, the piece of jewelry is undeniably a great way to make fun of his nemesis.

Boxing legend claims he signed to fight Floyd Mayweather, but ‘Money’ pulled out to take on someone the icon had already beaten

During his esteemed career, Mayweather went to war with an array of the best fighters on planet Earth.

However, the flashy athlete didn’t set foot in the squared circle against everybody, with one fighter deeply disappointed that he never had the opportunity to get his hands on the boxer.

In fact, this 2x world champion has gone as far as saying that while he signed on the dotted line, Mayweather chose not to.
