Ben Whittaker unlocked his inner Muhammad Ali as he showboated his way to TKO victory

Showboat star Ben Whittaker has made headlines with his unorthodox in-ring behavior.

The British prospect has gone viral for his unique showmanship, where he has abandoned some traditional boxing techniques.

However, despite his unpredictable nature, Whittaker has shown great talent. Just three years into his professional career, Whitaker is undefeated across nine fights.

In what is one of Whittaker’s most impressive performances, he was able to emulate Muhammad Ali with his in-ring showboating.

Ben Whittaker had a memorable performance in 2024 to gather headlines

Whittaker would have his sixth professional fight in February of 2024 when he took on French fighter Khalid Graidia (10-13-5). The pair would meet in a light heavyweight affair in Wembley Arena, London.

Whittaker was looking to make it four stoppage victories in a row, having defeated Stiven Leonatti Dredhaj in his previous outing.

The young English fighter was dominant from the start. By landing heavy shots, while slipping his opponent’s attempts, ‘The Surgeon’ grew in confidence.

Round two would see Graidia crumble to a wicked left hook to the body. However, he would return to his feet to continue fighting.

Following the knockdown, Whittaker grew in confidence, which included him spinning around in a circle on one leg following an evaded shot. The piece of showboating resulted in the bout being halted as the referee gave a warning to the British fighter.

Whittaker continued to taunt his opponent. This would include concluding an excellent showcase of head movement with a celebratory dance in the ring. However, Whittaker would once again be stopped by the referee for his showboating.

In the fifth round, the accumulation of damage from the French fighter became too much to deal with, as he crumbled to the canvas against the ropes. Graidia was waved off as Whittaker improved his unbeaten record.

Ben Whittaker to rematch the only fighter he hasn’t been able to defeat

In October 2024, Whittaker’s ninth fight would not end in a victory.

Fighting Liam Cameron (23-6) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the fight would end after a technical decision declared the bout a draw.

The fight ended after five rounds as Whittaker was injured and unable to continue after both men crumbled out of the ring.

The bout was scored based on the five rounds that were completed, which resulted in a split draw. However, fans believed Cameron defeated Whittaker.

The two will now rematch in April 2025 to settle the inconclusive ending to their fight.
