Amir Khan defeated Marco Antonio Barrera

On December 11, 2010, Amir Khan went to war with Marco Antonio Barrera inside the Manchester Arena, UK.

Inside the very first round, disaster struck, with the Mexican suffering a nasty cut after an accidental clash of heads.

Utilizing his footwork, Khan danced around his opponent, landing snappy shots, while an impaired Barrera struggled to get on the inside.

The younger man’s superior speed allowed him to cruise through the first three rounds, connecting with sublime combinations.

In the fourth segment, the doctor looked at the extent of the damage and allowed the Mexican to continue.

However, in the fifth, the medical expert had another look at the cut, and decided to recommend that the icon not continue.

As over four rounds had been completed, the fight went to the cards with Khan winning via Technical decision.

While Khan compiled a resume full of legends, there was one scalp he wanted to take more than any other.

To this day, the former world champion would love to fight Manny Pacquiao.

And a bout between the talented athlete and the Filipino almost came to fruition in 2015.

Following an interaction at an amateur boxing gym, Khan opened up about the possibility of a superfight with Pacquiao.
