Ryan Garcia vs Rolando Romero predictions, including Garcia winning by knockout and Haney’s easy victory

Ryan Garcia makes his long-awaited return to the ring for an exciting night of boxing in a very unique setting.

“King Ryan” has spent the last year preparing for his fight against Rolando Romero. Ryan Garcia was suspended from boxing for a year after failing a drug test after his fight with Devin Haney.

The outspoken American had his victory over Haney scrubbed off, and will hope to get back to winning ways by beating “Rolly” Romero in Times Square on May 2.

Garcia’s previous opponent Haney is also in action. He will take on Jose Ramirez in an undercard fight, with a view of a rematch between Garcia and Haney if both of them win their respective bouts.

Additionally, the WBO Junior Welterweight title will be on the line. Teofimo Lopez Jr will battle Arnold Barboza Jr in a bout fans will not want to miss in Times Square on Friday.

Ryan Garcia vs Rolando Romero prediction

The Bloody Knockout experts are unanimous in backing Garcia to win in his first fight for a year, although they’re split between whether he’ll win via knockout or by a judges’ decision.

Both Harvey and Hamish see the knockout artist stopping Romero before the end of the fight. He has won by KO in 20 of his 24 victories so far and is one of the most exciting fighters in boxing today.

Romero suffered knockout defeats to Isaac Cruz and Gervonta Davis in recent outings, so he will have to be wary to avoid a crushing third defeat in that manner when he battles Garcia.

However, Callum doesn’t see Garcia winning quite so easily. The American will have ring rust from his lack of action in the past year and will want to use the fight as a chance to get some much needed ring time.

Devin Haney vs Jose Ramirez prediction

The co-main event of the night sees another confident prediction from the Bloody Knockout experts. Haney is the first favorite to win the fight and set up a potential rematch with Garcia.

Both Harvey and Hamish back him to win, but on a points decision at the end of a long fight. Haney has all the tools to confidently cruise to a points victory, as he has done in his last eight victories.

However, Callum sees him going one better and getting the knockout win over Ramirez. The former Unified Light Welterweight world champion lost his last fight to Barboza Jr, so is in bad form coming into his fight in Times Square.

Teofimo Lopez Jr vs Arnold Barboza Jr prediction

The third fight on the main card sees Lopez Jr defending his WBO Junior Welterweight title against Barboza Jr, and the Bloody Knockout experts are unanimous in selecting the winner.

All three chose Lopez Jr to retain his title after a decision victory. The champion has won his last three fights via unanimous decision, so he clearly has the stamina to go twelve rounds while dominating the ring.

However, he will have a tough fight against Barboza Jr in Times Square. The American is undefeated in his career, with 32 victories under his belt.

Beating Barboza Jr will go a long way to cementing Lopez Jr as a great champion in what could be the biggest win of his career so far.
