Super-lightweight world title contender Ryan Garcia is continuing his outlandish behaviour on social media as his fight with Devin Haney draws closer.
The controversial boxer has made himself a massive underdog with fans as he heads into the world championship grudge fight through a series of stunts that have many worried. But he is still confident of victory, insisting that he is being undersold as a contender.
Garcia is one of the most well-known stars of modern boxing, but lost his sole pay-per-view headliner against Gervonta Davis last year. He has since returned with a knockout win over Oscar Duarte, but faces arguably the toughest test of his career against Haney.

Many fans have written off Garcia as a contender to Haney’s throne, but he will take solace in holding three previous wins over his rival. The pair met six times in the amateurs, each winning three apiece before turning over to the professional ranks.
Garcia got the better of the earlier bouts before Haney came back later, but both men will be acutely aware of their rival’s strengths and weaknesses. The champion has yet to lose as a professional, with his rival come Saturday actually the last man recorded to have beaten him a decade ago.
Haney struggled to a controversial decision win last year against Vasily Lomachenko, with many feeling that he didn’t do enough to get the victory. He has also come back with a knockout win; his over Regis Prograis.

Garcia is clearly in fantastic shape for the fight, but has kept himself busy outside of the gym with his regular posting on X and Instagram. He takes part in almost nightly live broadcasts via Spaces where he waxes lyrical with fans and celebrities, and also posts lots of strange videos.
Within just the last few hours, Garcia has been spotted out on the town in New York City as well as sharing a number of comical videos and messages on Twitter. Among other messages, he posted a video in which he promised to give a female fan $1million to attend the fight and support him.
This comes just after he ‘proposed’ to his new girlfriend Savannah Bond, whom he claims he “just met”. The pair were seen on a private jet cosying up as he asked her to marry him – less than four months after divorcing Andrea Celina.

After passing all of his medical and mental health evaluations, Garcia will get face-to-face with Haney once again on Thursday at their final press conference. He plans to utilise that time to make his rival weak as they head into the fight on Saturday.
In one post on X, he wrote: “My intention in my heart is to make Devin cry before even entering the ring at a press conference something he will be crying.” He later added: “Ion [sic] really care if they only one person in that building come Saturday I have one mission DELETE THE DEVIL.”
