Chris Eubank Jr took home the bragging rights this Saturday after an extremely narrow victory over Conor Benn during their huge grudge match.
As soon as the fight between Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn was announced, fans knew they were in for a treat as both fighters have expressed a sheer hatred for each other over the past few years.
During a press conference ahead of their fierce fight, Eubank Jr smashed an egg over Benn’s head, which caused a massive controversy and heightened the rivalry.
Just a day before their fight, Eubank Jr shockingly missed weight and was fined a whopping £500,000, despite only missing by 0.05 pounds, but this added another controversy to the fight.

Chris Eubank Jr beats Conor Benn by unanimous decision
After what has seemed like years of back and forth between the two British stars, they finally stepped into the ring to face each other on Saturday at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
‘The Destroyer’ started off the fight far faster than Eubank Jr, showing that he was the fighter who didn’t go through a brutal weight cut.
The 28-year-old clearly picked up the first few rounds with his forward approach, as the 35-year-old continued to sit on the outside, waiting to counter punch Benn whenever he came into the pocket.
However, midway through the fight, Eubank Jr began to let his shots go a bit more, and started to land on Benn whenever he came into range, making for a far closer second half of the fight.
After an incredible 11 rounds of action, it wasn’t very clear who was up in the fight heading into the final round, with it all still to play for.
Both fighters left everything in the ring during the 12th round, providing one of the greatest fights of the year, both landing huge shots to try and put their stamp on the final round.
Even after the fight had finished, it was relatively unclear who would be awarded the win, however, all three judges controversially scored the fight 116-112 to Eubank Jr, giving him the bragging rights in the huge rivalry.
Fighters react to Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn fight
“Man, that was a sight to see, man! Fire fight! Loved every minute of it. Shoutout both of them, that was great from both,” Ryan Garcia reacted.
“Honestly, there isn’t really a loser in this fight! Head high Conor,” Garcia continued.
“My three favorite fights since I started boxing: Taylor vs Serrano 2, Eubank Jr vs Benn, Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder 3,” Jake Paul reacted.
“Conor Benn got some skills! I think he did get out-skilled, he got out-hustled if you ask me! But what a man to go up two weight classes and stand up like that! Wow! I don’t know my eyes are watery, but what a fight! How special!” Claressa Shields commented.
With their fight being a Fight of the Year contender, it is likely that the two could rematch, with fans already calling for that to be the case.
