Tony Bellew warned that Moses Itauma will never be as big as Anthony Joshua
Despite his impressive win streak so far, former world champion Tony Bellew has doubts about Itauma ever surpassing Anthony Joshua in the boxing ring.
In a debate posted to First Round TV, Bellew admitted that Joshua has “the whole package” and doubts Itauma can match that, regardless of what he does with his career.
However, he still backs the 20-year-old to finish Whyte when they clash in the ring.
“You won’t see a boxer who’s the face of Lynx, who’s the face of Under Armour, who’s the face of Lucozade, who’s the face of Hugo Boss.”
“This boy goes to Nigeria and shuts the country down. This boy is an Olympic gold medallist. He won the Olympic gold medal in his country in front of millions. He’s the face of heavyweight boxing. […] He’s got the whole package around him.”
“Dillian, in my opinion, is at the end. […] He’s being paid a king’s ransom to go in there and be dealt with.”
Itauma and Whyte will face off in Saudi Arabia on August 16 in a Heavyweight clash.
