Dillian Whyte vs Moses Itauma: Bloody Knockout predictions suggest a knockout victory in the main event

Moses Itauma has the chance to earn himself a world title fight if he can get past Dillian Whyte in a huge main event on August 16.

This is the biggest fight of Moses Itauma’s career, as he faces a man who once beat Anthony Joshua as an amateur, although his professional career never reached the heights of a world championship reign.

A world title fight is something Itauma will be aiming for by beating Dillian Whyte, with a potential clash with either Joseph Parker or Oleksandr Usyk likely for the 12-0 fighter if he pulls out the victory.

Ahead of their clash on August 16, the Bloody Knockout staff have given their predictions on who will win the exciting main event between Whyte and Itauma on August 16.

Donal Long: “I think many people are underestimating the rise in competition that Itauma is facing in Dillian Whyte. Despite the recent showings from Whyte, I still believe he can cause Itauma some problems that other fighters have not.

“That being said, I think the young star will figure out how to overcome this challenge with a late stoppage. I’m going Itauma by knockout in the second half of the fight.”

PREDICTION: MOSES ITAUMA VIA KNOCKOUT

Ross Markey: “I’m picking Moses Itauma to continue his rise against Dillian Whyte this weekend. He’s looking flawless in the ring so far, and against the ageing Whyte, Itauma has the chance to style on one of the division’s most recognizable fighters. Itauma to score a dominant knockout win over Whyte.”

Hamish Woodward: Dillian Whyte may have the experience going into the fight, but at this stage of his career, he still doesn’t have what it takes to beat a top fighter, which is what Moses Itauma is turning out to be.

Despite being only 20 years old, Itauma has excelled in all of his 12 fights of his career so far. There is little chance of this being an unlucky number 13 for the Slovakian-Briton, as he should knock out Whyte in an easy win on Saturday.
