Deontay Wilder vs Tyrrell Herndon preview, start time, fight card, how to watch and live stream

Deontay Wilder makes his long-awaited return to the ring with a clash against Tyrrell Herndon on June 27.

The American fighter steps back into the ring for the first time in over a year for this fight.

Deontay Wilder lost 4 of his last 5 fights, which included Tyson Fury beating Wilder twice and Zhilei Zhang stopping the “Bronze Bomber” in the 5th round of his last fight.

The former World Heavyweight Champion is tasked with stopping Tyrrell Herndon, who is 24-5-0 so far in his career and is coming off a 2-fight win streak in the heavyweight division.

This fight could be a big comeback for Wilder, although a 3rd defeat in a row could spell the end of his career as a top-level boxer.

Deontay Wilder vs Tyrrell Herndon – who’s fighting?

Tyrrell Herndon told Deontay Wilder he was his ‘dream fight’ years before their clash

While they are currently prepared to go to war on June 27, Herndon will be delighted to step into the ring with the former world champion.

In an exclusive interview with Bloody Knockout, Wilder revealed that he met Herndon 6 years ago, where the challenger admitted it was his dream to face him.

“I think six years ago, we met each other, and his dream was always to fight me. Look what it is now, he gets the opportunity.” Wilder said.

“I get the opportunity as well because I’m building myself, and I think I’m back where I need to be, if not stronger than I’ve ever been in my life.

“I’m so much freer rather than having a load hold me down. I couldn’t rise and elevate to the next level because certain people who I thought loved me were around me.

“Here I am, it’s time to brush myself off because I’ve been down too long. I’m so much happier, I have so much more joy in my life, and I have peace.

“I’m just ready to get back out here and do what I love to do and what I know that I can do, and give the fans something to see.

“I’m looking forward to the fight. I’ve never been to Kansas, but I’m looking forward to making my grand entrance. We’re gonna have a motherf—— amazing time.”

Let’s see how happy Tyrrell is once the final bell has rung after his match with Wilder on June 27.
