Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford full card including undisputed Super Middleweight world title clash

The highly anticipated title clash between Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford headlines an exciting card of boxing on September 13.

The two world champions will walk into Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, knowing that the winner will leave with the Undisputed Super Middleweight belts and be considered one of the top pound-for-pound boxers in the world.

After Canelo’s negotiations to fight Jake Paul fell through, he agreed to a deal with Crawford in a fight the boxing world has been waiting to see.

Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford

Two iconic fighters are finally clashing on September 13 in a titanic bout that nobody can quite call at the moment.

It is easy to see why. Canelo is the dominant champion, winning 63 of his 67 fights so far, and currently holds all the Super Middleweight belts.

He has become one of the biggest draws in boxing today, with this bout being a part of Canelo’s $400 million deal with Riyadh Season to promote his bouts.

However, Crawford is no pushover, remaining undefeated in all 41 of his fights, with 31 knockouts to his name.

While Canelo thinks he’s figured out Crawford’s game plan, all bets are off when the two finally clash next week in one of the biggest fights of the year.

Callum Walsh vs. Fernando Vargas Jr.

Two undefeated fighters will put their records on the line in the semi-main event of the show, as Callum Walsh takes on Fernando Vargas Jr in a massive bout.

With the pair being ranked #4 and #5, respectively, in the Light Middleweight division, a win in Las Vegas could have huge implications for a future title shot.

The 24-year-old Walsh has amassed 12 wins in his career so far, while Vargas is 17-0, boasting 15 knockouts to his name as he has proved himself to be a dangerous fighter.

Walsh recently defeated Elias Aspadas to retain his WBC Continental Super Welterweight belt, but a win here could propel him towards a world title shot, even this early in his career.

One man will lose his undefeated record in Las Vegas in what could be a career-defining moment for either Walsh or Vargas Jr on September 13.

Christian M’billi vs. Lester Martínez

In addition to the two biggest fights, Chris M’billi will defend his own WBC Interim belt in a Super Middleweight clash on the Canelo/Crawford card.

The former Olympian won the vacant WBC Interim title with a first-round knockout against Maciej Sulecki in June.

He is a knockout artist, boasting 24 knockouts in 29 wins, remaining undefeated since turning professional after the 2016 Olympic Games.

However, in the way of a potential unification bout with Canelo is Lester Martinez, the Guatemalan Super Middleweight with an equally impressive unbeaten streak and knockout record that makes this fight a must-watch.

Mohammed Alakel vs. John Ornelas

In a bout that could be on the card in part due to Canelo’s deal with Riyadh Season, Saudi Arabian prospect Mohammed Alakel takes on John Ornelas in Las Vegas.

“Mighty” won his first five bouts in his career, including a win over Joshua Ocampo on the undercard of the second Oleksandyr Usyk vs Tyson Fury fight, showing promise early in his career.

The 21-year-old is 5-0 so far, but his first fight outside of Riyadh will be a huge test for him.

Alakel will face the American Ornelas, who is looking to bounce back from a loss to Terell Bostic, who handed him his first defeat back in January.

Prelims

Before the main card on Netflix, six fights have been booked to be shown on Netflix on the prelims for Canelo vs Crawford.

Brandon Adams and Serhii Bohachuk walk into their Catchweight bout with similar records and both reeling from recent world title losses.

A Heavyweight clash between Ivan Dychko and Jermaine Franklin is also on the prelims.

Dychko is undefeated since going pro after back-to-back Olympic bronze medals and will be the favorite to beat a man who was beaten by both Dillian Whyte and Anthony Joshua in recent bouts.

Other bouts on the card include Reito Tsutsumi vs Javier Martinez at Super Featherweight, a four-round clash between Sultan Almohamed and Martin Caraballo, Steven Nelson battling Reko Santana, and Marco Verde’s Super Middleweight battle with Marcos Osorio-Betancourt
